Happy July!

I thought I would take a moment to thank all of our residents and families for choosing Sweet Water Grand The Bridges! As the Executive Director, it has been my honor over the last several months to get to know each of you.

We have gone through some changes here and even some growing pains. Recently, I have heard that some of you may not know the back story of why there have been so many changes.

Under the previous ownership, The Bridges had fallen into bankruptcy and foreclose and accordingly, disrepair. When Dana, Mari and Don, the owners of Sweet Water Grand, took over last October, they made it their mission to not only repair structural items but also upgrade our systems as well.

We have remodeled our lobby, first floor dining room, installed new carpeting in memory care and created a new bistro space. This new space, once fully finished, will be the site for a coffee chats and happy hours. We plan to bring a piano to the lobby for those happy hours. We have a beautiful 14 passenger bus for transportation and outings as well.

We are in the process of upgrading our cable system. In a few months, our building will have Spectrum cable available to every resident. We have also signed an agreement with Legacy Healthcare Services. They will be providing outpatient level therapy services in their own suite onsite. This will allow for up to five days a week of therapy!

The clubhouse has also had a facelift and a name change, now Sweet Water Club. The Club will always be the residents space first and foremost as well as serve as the clubhouse for the immediate 55 and over Bridgewater Landings community members. We host a few activities each month for The Bridges residents (with more to come) and others for the members of the surround community. Sometimes this does mean that certain events are not available for residents but we will always have resident events at the clubhouse. You can read more about TheSWClub.com.

We have more changes on the horizon. I will be sending our a newsletter like this from time to time to keep you all informed. If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out.

Be well,

Kathleen
